<h2>Legislating Harm: Responding to Bill 9</h2>Join us in person for a deep dive into the impact of Alberta's Bill 9.This event explores how Alberta's Bill 9 and related anti-2SLGBTQIA+ legislation (Bills 26, 27 and 29) function as examples of “legislating harm." Offering academic expertise and lived experience, panelists will share key insights into how the provincial government's use of the notwithstanding clause will restrict, surveil, and marginalize 2SLGBTQIA+ people across Alberta.This event is hosted by the Mount Royal Faculty Association's EDI Committee and supported by the QriTical: queer + trans research hub. *Content Warning The presented information at this session may contain themes of self-harm and suicide ideation/risk/attempts.*Please note that this event is first-come, first-serve seating.
