Composer, harpsichordist and organist, Nicola Canzano is a leading exponent of historical improvisation, the spontaneous composition of preludes, fugues and other Baroque musical forms in performance in front of an audience. In this presentation, Mr. Canzano will explain his process and provide demonstrations of this exciting art form. An avid instructor as well as a performer, Mr. Canzano will also share his successes and challenges teaching historical improvisation.
