Learn about the outdoor ethics of Leave No Trace in this morning workshop. Gain an understanding of the science behind the LNT principles from a trained instructor while enjoying time out on the trail!
What to Expect: We will participate in several learning activities while hiking along the trail and meadow area before wrapping up our time at the pavillion. All hiking will be on fairly level surfaces and grassy trails with some elevation gain. Participants will receive an LNT certificate at the completion of this course. This event is for ages 15 and up (participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult). A port-a-john is available on site.
What to Bring: Bring water, snacks, and pertinent personal first aid. Dress for the weather with sufficient layers.
Hike Leaders: Mary Patterson is an LNT Instructor and Interpretive Ranger. She is passionate about wildflowers, butterflies, and all the wonderful things that can be discovered outside.
