Learn the use of tools and techniques to level up your leather working after Pixie's beginner bracelet class!
Class Description
Prerequisite: Leather Bracelet Making 101 or equivalent knowledge; please email education@artisasnasylum.com if unsure if this class is for you.
This class is the next level after the bracelet making beginners class. We will make a collar or buckle bracelet. In class students will learn use of more tools and techniques to level up their leather working. We will be using skills learned in the first class and adding more tools like a strap cutter, buckles, and other skills.
The materials fee for this class is $35. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts payments in Cash and Venmo.
Learning Objectives

- Develop hand tool techniques, dyes, finishing, hardware usage
- Create your own unique piece
- Takeaway knowledge and new skills to progress your leather skills
- No tool testing needed for these hand tools
Instructor - Hope Zimmerman aka Pixie @leatherpixie
Hope has been working with leather for over 20 years specializing in belt making. During that period, they have developed their techniques in using the hand tools needed to create high end leather work. Once their mentor started asking for guidance in his dye work is when they realized they are ready to share their skills with others. Join them in learning how to use the tools needed for your own finished leather piece, starting with their introduction class "Getting to know the tools".
Target Audience
Students who have completed Leather Bracelet Making101 and/or have knwoledge of hand tools for leather work. Folks interested in Artisans Asylum's Fiber Arts Shop. Students under 18 require adult supervision.
Your Ticket Includes
- Leather.
- Dyess
- Finishing materials.
- Use of personal tools.
- Snaps.
- Access to A2's Fiber Arts Shop and tools for the duration of the session.
Class Policies
Attire: Attendants should wear clothes they don't mind getting stained. Reading glasses if needed for detailed work.
