Learning Studio Series   (Summer/Fall 2021 Network)

Meghan Cureton believes in the power of agile teaming and entrepreneurial thinking. With over fifteen years of professional experience in education, she is a strategy consultant and a learning experience designer. Most recently, she served as the Upper School Head of Learning and Innovation at The Mount Vernon School.  In her role as an administrator, she collaboratively led the transformation process for the Upper School to adopt learner-centered approaches. Meghan is agile in design thinking, project-based learning, competency-based learning (or mastery learning), equitable assessment design, faculty and instructional coaching, but more importantly, she is agile in using a variety of tools and frameworks to create lasting cultural change within organizations.

A NETWORKED APPROACH TO PROFESSIONAL + PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH LEADERSHIP ROLES IN SCHOOLS

This learning studio is a series of synchronous and asynchronous coaching and networking sessions built for school leaders -- principals, assistant principals, instructional coaches, grade level leaders, program leaders -- anyone who plays the role of a lead learner within a school. Learning within a network, school leaders will learn and apply the principles and practices to help them create learning organizations where "people continually expand their capacity to create the results they truly desire, where new and expansive patterns of thinking are nurtured, where collective aspiration is set free, and where people are continually learning how to learn together" (Peter Senge).Below are the details about the program, which includes 18 hours of coaching and direct facilitation.ELEMENTS OF THE PROGRAMStudio - A series of five 90-minutes Zoom sessions where the entire Network comes together to learn and grow during facilitated sessions. These will be participatory sessions with plenty of brain food and implementable strategies for you to try in your own context.1:1 Coaching - Five monthly, individual check-in calls to help you stay on track and provide you a space to share how you are applying your learning in your own context.Network Sessions - Five monthly sessions with the entire Network meant to provide you with access to other leaders on the journey you are. It is meant to be a place to share ideas, ask questions and hold each other accountable for the work we're undertaking.DATESSynchronous Zoom Summer Dates (Studio)<ul><li>June 22 ---- 10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. EDT</li><li>June 24 ---- 10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. EDT</li><li>June 29 ---- 10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. EDT</li><li>July 01 ----- 10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. EDT</li><li>July 26 ---- -10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. EDT *</li></ul>*The final summer Studio date is intentionally spaced out to allow for ample time for leaders to build out their action plans for the fall.Synchronous Fall Dates and 1:1 coaching September through November These dates will be based on your needs. We will schedule the Network calls and the 1:1 coaching calls after you register for the Series, ensuring that our Network cohort can meet during the fall and so that the 1:1 coaching sessions fit with your school's calendar.
