About this event

Philanthropy has long neglected issues of democracy, environmental/climate justice, and racial justice in U.S. territories. But that is starting to change as leaders from Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa are being supported by leaders in philanthropy to build a new cross-territorial movement around advancing democracy, equity, and self-determination in U.S. territories.

Join Adi Martínez Román and Neil Weare, Co-Founders of Right to Democracy, along with other partners from U.S. territories to learn more about the intersection of democracy, the environment, and race in U.S. territories. This learning session will be no-pressure, and will incorporate participatory elements that encourage attendees to share insights and knowledge from their particular areas of focus.
