Learning Center Open Hours
In honor of Women’s History Month, visit both learning centers to learn about the life and legacy of Shirley Chisholm!
Stop by the Penn & Fountain Learning Centers any time during open hours to learn about the park's namesake, Shirley Chisholm! Also learn about the water and land ecology at the park! No registration required. This program is free and intended for all ages.
NOTE: Registration is NOT required for this event. This posting is for informational purposes. However, if you'd like to receive email updates about this event, we encourage you to register.
- The Penn Learning Center (marked as “Education Center” on the map) is located on the Oystercatcher trail, accessible from the Penn parking lot (1750 Pennsylvania Ave/1750 Granville Payne Ave). It’s about a 10 minute walk from the parking lot.
- The Fountain Learning Center (marked as “Education Center” on the map) ) is located on the Fountain Ring Drive trail, accessible from the Fountain parking lot (950 Fountain Ave). It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the parking lot.
Dress for the weather, bring water, and wear comfortable hiking shoes as park trails are a combination of paved and gravel surfaces.
