Participants will leave the interactive training with a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in working with youth from special populations and will be better prepared to create inclusive and supportive environments in their youth development programs. Special populations may include individuals with disabilities, those experiencing socioeconomic disadvantages, LBGTQ identifying youth, youth from diverse cultural backgrounds, youth experiencing homelessness, and youth in foster care. The presentation will include group discussions and interactive activities to reinforce concepts and best practices

Learn24 Grantees - This workshop will meet the criteria for grant compliance regarding professional development on special populations.
