Overview

Think you might want to play in one of our leagues? Take our Learn to Curl class! Learn the basics of curling and play part of a game!

Learn the sport of curling at one of our Learn to Curl classes! These sessions are a great way to get ready for our upcoming leagues.

In this session, you will receive formal instruction about the sport, including stone delivery, sweeping, and basic strategy. You will also have the opportunity to play part of a game alongside your classmates. Cool, huh?

What should I bring?

You will be at the rink for 2 hours, so dress appropriately:

  • For directions, safety, and attire information, please check our What to Expect page (https://licurling.org/customPage.php/what-to-expect)
  • In short, you want to be warm, mobile, and safe. That includes appropriate rubber-soled shoes, layers to adjust to temperature, and any safety gear you may choose to bring. Some curlers choose to wear helmets, for example.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

You can leave a voicemail at 516-900-CURL (2875), but, it's usually fastest to just email info@licurling.org. Email gets a faster response, the phone number is mostly voicemail-only! We are an all-volunteer organization.
