Empower with Code is dedicated to providing  girls around the world with the exposure, encouragement, opportunities and platform to achieve successful careers in science and technology.Empower with Code's aim is to promote gender diversity in the science and technology field and provide girls ages 7-18 with a better understanding of careers in technology. Our curriculum provides girls with a wide range of coding experience— giving them the hard and soft skills needed to become the technologists of tomorrow. Empower with Code's education initiative ranges from programming fundamentals to mobile App development and exposure to real-world technologies. We involve engineers, developers, executives, and entrepreneurs to teach and motivate the next generation.

Empower With Code

All seats for our first two sessions were snapped up in one week! The high demand in our community validates EWC's mission and the desire of our community to have our children involved in software creation. 
Empower with Code summer program is a 4-week program that teaches kids how to code. CS First, a Google sponsored program, is free. CS First increases student access and exposure to computer science (CS) education. The program will be taught at Cal-State Bakersfield (CSUB) in the MIS Lab in the Business Development Building.

Students will present their work so parents are encourged to attend the final session.
