Learn all about worm composting with LEAF gardeners!
Red wrigglers are nature's best composting helpers! We will discuss starting and maintaining worm bins to harvest castings for your garden.
The address is at the LEAF Community Garden (36501 Niles Blvd, Fremont), not the LEAF Urban Farm!
What to Bring
- Closed-toe shoes
- Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
- A reusable water bottle (we have tap water)
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen) as needed
- We provide tools, gloves, and guidance—no gardening experience required!
Parking:
- Use the eastern entrance (not Nursery Ave.) to the California Nursery Historic Park, the LEAF Community Garden is on your right side.
- There is ample parking inside this entrance.
Bike parking available at the garden.
Public Transit:
- AC Transit Bus 216 stops right outside the LEAF Community Garden
