Dust off your Rubik’s cube and find your favorite cassettes. It’s time to go “back to the future” because Leadership Kalamazoo is turning 35!
Leadership Kalamazoo has served as the premier leadership development program in Kalamazoo County since 1987. Since its inception, the program has proudly graduated over 800 leaders into our community. With great celebration, Leadership Kalamazoo turned 35 this year.
If you are a Leadership Kalamazoo Alumni, please join us in celebrating this momentous birthday. In honor of the inaugural year, we’ll be kickin’ it 80s style!
You can expect:
- Networking with other Leadership Kalamazoo alum to keep those powerful professional connections alive and well
- Heavy hors d’oeuvres and birthday dessert
- 2 drink tickets per person
- DJ (who promises to keep the tunes, like, totally 80s)
- Prizes, including a ticket to Catalyst University 2023 for one lucky winner
- Just enough 80s magic sprinkled throughout for a totally tubular celebration

- 4:30 p.m. - Doors open
- 5:00 p.m. - Welcoming remarks and a special announcement on exclusive 2023 engagement opportunities curated specifically for Leadership Kalamazoo alumni
- 5:30 p.m. - A legacy of leadership | Honoring Judy Moore
- 6:30 p.m. - Catalyst University ticket winner announced (must be present to win)
Other details you should know:
- Dress attire is 2022 business casual (so shoulder pads are optional), but feel free to add a splash of 80s style if you feel so inspired.
- Interested in giving Leadership Kalamazoo a birthday gift? You’re so thoughtful! Nothing screams birthday bash like PRESENTS! Leadership Kalamazoo loves community engagement, so please bring a package of diapers (sizes 4, 5 and 6 are needed most) to support women and mothers served by the YWCA of Kalamazoo.
- You are welcome to invite a guest or your partner to join you. Be sure that they purchase an individual ticket for the birthday fun.
- Parking is available on the street outside the building or inside the building's parking garage. A parking map may be found here.
