Above all else, HCA is committed to the care and improvement of human life.  Caring for patients is only part of what we do at HCA.  As the philanthropic arm of HCA, the mission of The HCA Foundation is to promote health and well being, support childhood and youth development, foster the arts in Middle Tennessee and support employees in need nationally through the HCA Hope Fund.  In partnership with the employees of HCA, we work to accomplish this mission by providing leadership, service and financial support to effective non-profit organizations. Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Hack for the Community!  Hack for the Community is a 36 hour hack-a-thon that gathers Nashville's best IT professionals to help nonprofits make a big difference in our community. <A HREF="https://vimeo.com/254924856%20" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="H4tC 2018 Promo" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></A>
Please click register to view projects needing back end developers and register for the project that meets your skills and interests. If you are flexible to volunteer with any project, you can register for the "Floating Back End Developer" project and join whatever project needs you most. Please only register for one project.

Commitment: Volunteers must participate on both April 12 & 13. Hack for the Community will start at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12 and continue unitl 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 13. Each team will identify its own schedule inside the 36 hour window, according to each team member's needs.

Volunteering during the workday: All Hack for the Community Partners have approved their employees’ participation in this special initiative. Please check with your employer about how to record your participation in this event.

No all-nighters: No volunteers will spend the night at the hack-a-thon.  The venue will close at 11 PM on April 12 and re-open at 7 AM on April 13.

<LI>
Devices: We encourage you to use your personal laptop for this event.Please check with your employer before using your work laptop.

Food & Drink: All food and beverages will be provided.

Volunteer Orientation: All volunteers are invited to participate in a virtual volunteer orientation session on March 29 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.
