Presented by the Camden New Journal and Islington Tribune, LDN COP is our local alternative to the international climate negotiations.
While fossil lobbyists and country delegrates converge in Antalya, Türkiye for COP31, we are swapping treaty stalemates and despair with stories of hope and action built from the bottom up.
Through panel talks, workshops and film screenings, LDN COP asks what "ordinary" people are doing in the face of government heel-dragging on the climate crisis.
Visitors can expect stories about direct action from anti-factory farming protestors and campaigners against new oil fields in the North Sea.
We will hear from architects and housing justice activists about how we need to adapt our cities in the face of a changing climate. Journalists, councillors, MPs and campaigners will sit in conversation about the challenges that shape our lives, from what we eat and where we live to the cost of living crisis.
There will also be stalls and workshops where visitors can shop and learn more about local climate groups and campaigns. The idea is for everyone at the LDN COP to go home with a seed of hope and action that they can hold onto once the day is over.
