The Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance (LCLM ) license is for professionals who treat ornamental plants and beds around buildings.

  • No turf applications allowed.
  • Restricted to 3-gallon pressurized and no power equipment.
  • No more than a 5-gallon backpack.
  • "Caution" labeled products only.
  • Proof of insurance is required upon passing the exam.


The Limited Lawn and Ornamental (LLO) license is for applicators who work for government agencies or private companies doing work in lawns/turf and ornamentals around structures.

  • Applicators with this license (LLO) are able to apply pesticides in ornamental bedding plants and Turf, in buildings and landscapes owned by their employers.
  • Parks, cemeteries, sod farms, golf courses, and athletic fields are NOT permitted under this license.


The Ornamental & Turf License (O&T) License is for applicators that work in the production of ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, or sod.

  • Maintenance of ornamental trees, shrubs, and plants, or sod and turfgrass growing in or on cemeteries, golf courses, parks, or athletic fields.
  • Does NOT include lawns or ornamental species around structures.
  • On these sites, the use of RUP fumigants requires a “Soil and Greenhouse Fumigation” license.

Is the training fee the same as the voucher number?

No, The training fee is different from your voucher number. Both LCLM and LLO exams fee (Vouchers) cost $150.00. The O&T exam is free of charge.

Do I need a voucher number prior to the training?

If you are planning on taking your category test on the same day as the training, then you must bring your voucher number to the training.

How to I obtain my voucher number for LCLM or LLO?

To get your voucher number follow the next steps: 1. Go to: https://pesticideexam.ifas.ufl.edu 2. Click on Apply for examination 3. Click on Structural/Residential Pest Control Chapter 482 4. Click on Exam SignUp 5. Select either LCLM or LLO 6. Follow the instructions and get your voucher number

Do I need to schedule my examination?

If taking the test on the same day as the training, you don't have to schedule your examination because the instructor is going to do it for you. If you don't want to take the test on the same day then you will have to schedule your examination here: https://pesticideexam.ifas.ufl.edu
