Launch Event | Hollow by Taylor Grothe
Celebrating a haunting new read
There's Something in the Woods...
Creep in and quietly, carefully, take a seat at the launch of the terrifying Hollow by TAYLOR GROTHE.
We follow Cassie Davis who has returned to her hometown in upstate New York. She does so after a meltdown in her school cafeteria -- and with an unwanted autism diagnosis.
There's a distance between her and the friends that she left behind. And when a camping trip intended to bridge that divide ends in a fight, Cassie wakes up to a barren campsite. Alone.
With a storm approaching, she finds herself rescued by a boy named Kaleb, and whisked away to a compound of artists and outcasts which he calls the roost. Here, she feels like she can be herself for the first time. But there are strange noises in the night, things happening all around the compound, and it all begs the question: Are the dangers in the forest, on the trail, or in the Roost itself?
Join us in-store as we celebrate the release of this terrifying yet wonderful love-letter to neurodiversity. With its twisting, unpredictable plot and an amazing protagonist, it's the perfect horror read.
