Laughs & Libations 2018

Rotary Club of Etowah meets every Tuesday at 7:30 am at Johnny Mitchell's Smokehouse in West End Commons. Comprised of various community members ranging from nonprofit directors, financial advisors, healthcare professionals and more, the weekly meetings consist of networking with fellow members and guests, as well as an educational program. Adhering to Rotary International’s main mission of ‘Service Above Self,’ Rotary Club of Etowah provides both financial contributions and hands-on volunteer assistance to numerous local charitable organizations, and also supports Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate polio.

Featuring plenty of laughs and a fun evening all intended to raise support for local and international charitable organizations, Rotary Club of Etowah is pleased to announce the 6th annual Laughs & Libations. This year, the event will be hosted by Mo Arora, a standup comedian based in Atlanta. 
The social affair featuring drinks, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and plenty of great laughs, has become something that past attendees excitedly await each year. Held at the Clarence Brown Conference Center, the event raises approximately $5,000 annually for local nonprofits including Advocates for Children, Boys & Girls Club, Cartersville Little League, and many others, while also assisting with Rotary International’s quest for the global eradication of Polio.
Guests may arrive at 6 p.m. and enjoy delicious food selections from The Original Steak & Rib House, a cash bar, and a 50/50 raffle. Kicking off the evening entertainment at 7:30 p.m. will be host Mo Arora. Mo has been the house emcee of the Atlanta Improv, performend in the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, appeared in the Laughing Skull Production feature film, American Dirtbags, hosted a television show called Sunday Night Shorts for 11 Alive WXIA-TV, and toured throughout the United States and Canada. Joining Mo in our largest, comedic line up to date will be William Childress, Kareem "Plug" Chapman, and Jenn Snyder.
