They've trained the AI to mimic their styles, and they're challenging you to tell which of their closing jokes were crafted by the comedians or by the machines. Can you save humanity by telling them apart?

Whether you're an AI buff, a comedy aficionado, or just curious to see if robots can really make you laugh, "Laugh GPT" promises a night of hilarity and intrigue.

Join us for this potentially historic event and be part of the moment when humans and AI join forces on stage. Or the moment where it all ends for humanity.

How it works:

• Each comedian will perform their regular stand-up comedy sets, trying to prove that humans are still the funniest.
• At the end of their sets, they'll present 5 rapid-fire jokes.
• The audience will attempt to determine which of the 5 closing jokes were written by the comedian or by ChatGPT – humanity's fate rests in your hands!

About the Venue

And it all takes place at the historic MAYES OYSTER HOUSE, one of the most historic bars on Polk Street and the perfect start to an insanely fun night of bar hopping.

FAQ

Is proof of vaccination or masks required? No. Currently the San Francisco health guidelines do not require vaccines or masks at indoor venues. If you are not feeling well, however, we recommend you stay at home.

What time do doors open? For the 7pm show doors open at 6pm so you can arrive early and grab a drink and the best seat. For the 9pm show, doors open typically at 8:45pm.

Do the shows start on time? Pretty close! We try to start each show within 5-15 minutes of the start time. So arrive early if you can! We want you to have a great time!

How late do the shows run? The 7pm show ends around 8:30pm. The 9pm show ends around 10:30pm giving you enough time to easily get home via BART or Muni

Is the event 21+? Yes. Due to licensing restrictions the event is 21+ only.

Is there a drink minimum? Yes. Like most comedy clubs in San Francisco, there is a 2-drink minimum. We'll have exclusive Funcheap drink specials for each show, plus several mocktail options if you're going dry.

Refund Policy

What If i can no longer make it? We know that sometimes plans change, and want to be as flexible as possible.

As long as you let us know at least 72 hours before the show, you can either receive a full refund of the ticket price back to your original form of payment, or we can issue you a credit good towards tickets to a future show (up to 1 year) for the date/time of your choice. Simply fill out the refund request form on Eventbrite. It's your choice!

If you aren't able to let us know you can't make it until the day of the show, as long as you let us know at least 3 hours prior to showtime, then we are happy to issue you a credit towards tickets to a future show of your choice good for up to 1 year as long as you notify us prior to the shows' starting time.

Please note that in most cases Eventbrite’s fees are non-refundable, so they won't be returned to the ticket buyer unless the event is canceled, or if the buyer requests a refund for a duplicate charge within 7 days of purchase.

In short, attendees can receive refunds to their original payment method (minus Eventbrite's fees) or as a credit to a future event up to 72 hours before the event start date.
