Laugh for a Cause: Scary Aquarium's Fundraiser by Patricia Kennedy

Hi! I'm Patty Kennedy and Scary Aquarium is my theater troupe.

I started Scary Aquarium back in 2016 with the twin goals of raising money for a good cause and setting some of my life lessons up as comedy. Because, if you're not laughing, you're crying!

Scary Aquarium Presents is hosting a fundraiser for two worthy causes: New Haven Reads and The Connecticut Humane Society. Two of my passions in life are reading and helping animals in need.

I believe literacy is a right, which is why one of my chosen recipients is New Haven Reads. Founded to share the joy and power of reading, New Haven Reads partners with the community to provide free one-on-one tutoring, educational family support, and a book bank to empower aspiring readers to master the literacy skills needed to thrive in school and life.

The other recipient is the Connecticut Humane Society. I care deeply for animals and strive to alleviate their suffering . Connecticut Humane Society is the leading resource in the state for companion animal welfare, enriching the lives of families and communities through adoption services, medical care, education, and prevention of cruelty.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to each group and will be split 50/50.

I hope you can join us for a night of laughter and maybe a tear or two for "Our Favorite Italian" ~On Good Friday, two sisters learn that sometimes only change will put them on the road to happiness. And that road is hazardous and littered with family drama, difficult decisions and cell phone malfunctions.~

Suggested minimum donation: $15. Your donation is your ticket in! You can also choose to donate only if you cannot attend, once you select "Reserve spot" you will see both options.
