FOR AGES 9-11: Latinos en Medicina Camp is a week-long journey into the world of medicine designed to inspire and educate future physicians. With engaging hands-on activities, enlightening workshops, and motivational speakers, the camp offers an immersive experience for young minds.

What's more, this year, we introduce special classes for parents, helping them understand and support their child's potential in the medical field. Best of all, the camp is entirely free, emphasizing our commitment to accessibility and the community.

To complete registration you MUST:

1) Claim a ticket on Event Brite

2) Complete questionnaire

3) Complete & return a signed consent form Permission Slip Form

4) Complete & return a signed photo release form Photo Release form

5) Send the signed permission slip to lorena.marin@unthsc.edu

You will receive a confirmation notice if your child is accepted.

Frequently asked questions

Where is drop-off and pick-up?

Participants will be dropped off at the Medical Education Training building at the Bunting Street entrance.

Will you provide meals or will my child need to bring lunch?

We will provide breakfast and lunch. Breakfast will include potato and egg burritos, bean burritos, fruit, and yogurt. Lunch will vary but will always have a vegetarian option with vegetables and/or salad.

Will there be a graduation this year?

Yes, the graduation ceremony will be on Friday, June 14, at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

Will there be classes for parents?

Yes. Tuesday parents will participate in a few of the clinical skills their child will experience. Thursday parents will hear about resources to support their children to pursue a career in medicine.

Can children come to Parent's Night?

We will not be prepared to have your children present. Thank you for your understanding. Spanish translation will be available.

How old are participants?

This camp is for only for ages 9-11.
