Lathe Skills Class with Rick Tell

This is an intermediate class, it is intended for turners with some experience. If you are ready to move on from carbide scrapers and go to the next level with Gouges, skews and other HSS tools, this class is for you. You will learn advanced turning techniques such as push cut, pull cut scrape cut and shear scraping cuts that require minimal sanding. Tool control will be a main focus as well as how to approach a cut without catches. Tool selection and some basic sharpening will be covered as well as selecting a finish for your work.
