Join the Green Mountain Audubon Society  for a fall birding excursion at the St. Michael's Natural Area

As the days shorten and grow cooler, late season migrants continue their passage through our region. The natural area at St. Michael’s College offers the opportunity to observe a number of both resident and migrant species in a variety of habitats. The Green Mountain Audubon Society has scheduled an excursion of approximately two hours along trails in the area in the hopes of observing a number of species.We plan to cover approximately two miles over somewhat uneven terrain which will likely be wet early in the morning, so participants should come prepared accordingly.We will be following Vermont state COVID-19 protocols for outdoor activities. We ask that you stay home if you are feeling ill and to wear a mask if you are unvaccinated and when you can&#x27;t maintain a safe social distance. Parking: For this event only, permission has been procured for participants to park in the maintenance lot. To get there, take the first right off Route 15 East after passing Lime Kiln Road. Proceed down the hill to the lot, which is to your left, just above the railroad tracks.
