About the Speakers

Dr. Hana Hobbs, DMD MS

Dr. Hobbs, a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, boasts over 20 years of dental experience. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland with Magna Cum Laude honors and completed residencies at York Hospital and Carolina’s Medical Center. Specializing in Periodontics at UCSF, she earned a Master’s in Oral Biology. Her research on periodontal therapy in diabetics garnered acclaim. Dr. Hobbs runs a successful practice in Durham, NC, and serves on committees for the American Academy of Periodontology. She's a noted speaker and volunteer, earning annual recognition as a top periodontist since 2010.

Dr. Kevin Lim, DMD, MS

Dr. Kevin Lim, now part of Cary Prosthodontics in Cary, NC, comes from diverse backgrounds, split between the Philippines and Vancouver, Canada. After earning a BS in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, he pursued dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a hospital-based general practice residency and a prosthodontics program at UNC Adams School of Dentistry, followed by an oral implantology fellowship. Dr. Lim served as a clinical assistant professor at UNC and continues as an adjunct professor while focusing on digital workflows in prosthodontics. Beyond dentistry, he enjoys exploring North Carolina with his family. Dr. Lim is active in several professional organizations, including the ACP, AO, and ITI.
