In this workshop you will learn how to engrave and cut materials using the laser cutter! Every attendee will leave with a souvenir of their own! With this workshop you will earn an authorization to use IRL1's Laser cutters at any time during our open hours when machines are available. Not sure what a Laser Cutting is? Must take IRL2 Laser Cut authorization to use their laser cutters.

MUST BE DEPAUL STUDENT, FACULTY, OR ALUMNI TO ATTEND.

How long will this workshop last and what are we doing?

On average this workshop takes an hour to 1.5 hours to teach. We will go over safety for materials, the software needed for it, engraving, and vector cutting procedures.

Do I have to bring my own materials?

No, we provide everything here for free! In return we ask that you be respectful of other patrons and clean up after yourself.

Wait! What if I forget something after this workshop?

Don't worry! When attempting to laser cut on your own don't be afraid to ask a staff member for guidance when you get stuck. We are here to help answer any questions, just let us know you've received your authorization but need some assistance.
