MakerSpace NYC is a non-profit, community workspace for makers, builders, tinkerers, hardware developers, hobbyists, artists, entrepreneurs, and anyone with a curious mind who wants to make something. We offers tools, equipment, resources, workshops, and over 50,000 sq ft of space for you to make your ideas come to life.  We have two locations, Staten Island MakerSpace and Futureworks MakerSpace at the Brooklyn Army Terminal.

<h2>Laser Cutter : BUS (Basic Use and Safety)</h2> In this Basic Use and Safety workshop, students will learn how to set up and use the laser cutter. We will start with a basic introduction to the software, loading files &amp; running projects in Universal Laser Systems 60Watt CO2 Laser.Completion of this single 1hr class certifies students to use equipment independently as a member or a non-member on a day pass (at the instructor's discretion).RequirementsStudents must come to class with appropriate attire, which includes closed-toe shoes, and hair tied back. Open to all, ages 16+ Current session and pricingSaturday, April 18th - 12 - 1pmSaturday, April 25th - 12 - 1pm$110.00 non-members // $95.00 members(membership will be verified upon purchase) Refunds/Cancellations:If we cancel, we will refund you in full and notify you. You may cancel and get a full refund up to three days before the class. After that, refunds are contingent on us being able to fill your seat. Under no circumstances do we offer refunds to individuals who cancel on the same day. This ruins the party for everyone. Please note that if you cancel, Eventbrite fees are non-refundable.
