CKA: Environment & Curriculum

We will talk about the importance of responsive communication and engagement teachers can use to increase children’s vocabulary and communication skills. We will also share strategies to plan high-quality interactions during personal care routines and throughout the day.

Training Objectives:

1 . Attendees will be able to explain the importance of language and positive interactions in infant/toddler development.

2 . Attendees will understand why listening and speaking are the key to develop communication skills.

3 . Attendees will identify strategies to support high-quality language interactions between teachers and infants/ toddlers.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
