About this event

Starts Tuesday, July 9th (Tuesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for six weeks.)

Learn the basics of how to draw landscapes using vine charcoal. This course is great for beginners or those who wish to improve their observational skills. Instructor Catherine Bickford will demonstrate how to simplify what you see into basic shapes and planes allowing you to create strong composition. We will investigate what it means to understand your own "mark" and will find new ways to relate to the world through drawing.

Materials not included: Please bring an ample supply of vine charcoal and drawing paper or Strathmore Bristol smooth pad (preferred). You will also need erasers and a chamois cloth.

Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.
