Texas six-string bluesman Lance Lopez just unleashed his long-awaited new solo album, "Tell The Truth," on March 2nd, 2018 on the Mascot Label.
The album is an autobiographical tour-de-force through the life and times of an archetypal Texas blues guitarist with all the highs and lows that inevitably accompany this time-honored path. Lance Lopez has been on a slow, steady climb up the mountain to the blues rock hall of heavyweights for the last decade, and this album declares his arrival.
Lance Lopez has a voice that let’s you know he’s walked the walk, and his smokey tenor has grown more gravely and passionate with the years. Lance started playing professionally at the age of 14 in bars and clubs in and around New Orleans, joining up with soul great Johnny Taylor when he was just 17, then becoming Lucky Peterson’s band leader at 18, and eventually joining the Buddy Miles Express. He’s lived the life every day since, and you can feel every mile of the road on this album.
The path to becoming a Texas blues guitar legend is not an easy road, and even with mentors and friends like Billy Gibbons and Johnny Winter, that road is long and fraught with endless touring, low wages, and long travels. Lance Lopez was mentored by the best, and that means that along with the priceless lessons in the musical life from legends like Buddy Miles, also came lessons in drinking, drugging, late nights, the ravages of road food, and that side of the life that has broken so many. With the grace of good faith, friends, and family, Lance has seen it through to a healthier, happier side.
Lopez released his first of six solo studio albums, First Things First, independently in 1998. After that came several live recordings, and two critically acclaimed and well received albums as the lead vocalist and guitarist for Supersonic Blues Machine (West Of Flushing South Of Frisco, Californisoul). He’s toured extensively from America’s West Coast, throughout Europe and the UK, and as far East as India and Jakarta, Indonesia.​

Doors open at 7:30 PM. Music begins at 8:00 PM. There will be two 45-60 minute sets with a short intermission.

-Can I reserve a seat? Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis; we do not generally reserve seats unless special accommodations are required. -Are children allowed? Yes, we are an all-ages venue. It's up to the parents to decide if the content is appropriate for their children.
-Are you ADA accessible? Yes, there is an elevator to the second floor, and the bathrooms are accessible. Please contact us ahead of time if you need seating accommodations.
-What's your refund policy? Please contact us before the day of the show; in most cases, we will be able to provide a refund of the ticket price (fees are non-refundable).
-Where can I park? Plan to arrive early to find the best parking; you should be able to find a space within four blocks of The Palms. You can either park on the street or in a nearby lot; all public parking in Winters is free.
