On this two-hour forest bathing walk, you’ll be guided on a gentle, mindful stroll through the woods.

Harvest season is upon us. In the Wheel of the Year, Lammas marks the midpoint between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox. Lammas is a time of celebration as it represents the first harvest; a celebration of the grain and all the fruits and vegetables that are ripe and ready to be harvested. The Earth’s bounty is truly visible everywhere you go. Lammas is a time to reflect, have gratitude, and give back to our beautiful Earth who offers so much. Join us as we walk with gratitude and pause along the way to reflect on all that has come into your life this year.What to Expect:<ul><li>We will begin our walk together sitting in a gratitude circle, reflecting on all that has come into your life this year and setting our intentions for our walk.</li></ul><ul><li>After a centering meditation, we gently wake the body with light stretching.</li></ul><ul><li>Together, we will journey through the meadows and forest at Osage Preserve, pausing along the way to reflect on all that has come into your life this year. </li></ul><ul><li>As your guide, I will offer a series of thoughtful invitations and reflections that help quiet the mind, open the senses, and deepen your relationship with the more-than-human world.</li></ul><ul><li>The guided walk will blend time for solitude in nature with conversational sharing. Participants will be invited to share in any way that feels right to them; silence is also a welcome form of sharing. The walk will vary between wandering, sitting, and standing. Journaling is encouraged.</li></ul><ul><li>We will conclude our walk by celebrating this first harvest with homemade bread, fresh berries, and herbal iced tea.</li></ul>I invite you to experience nature&#x27;s healing and restorative effects on our minds and body. This experience is crafted to be slow, soothing, and safe.What is Forest Bathings?The practice of forest bathing encourages you to walk in the forest at a slower pace and take in the atmosphere around you. Multiple scientific studies have shown that it lowers stress and blood pressure levels while increasing immune system functioning, making you more resilient to diseases and illness.These walks are slow-paced and generally cover less than a mile of trail. During this time the guide, in partnership with the forest, will offer an evolving series of invitations crafted to help participants slow down and open their senses. The opening of one’s senses encourages mindfulness, which readies the heart and mind to be fully present in the natural world. Come discover the medicine of being in the forest.Additional information:<ul><li>Once purchased, you will receive more information on how to prepare for the event. </li><li>No pets or children under 16 for this experience.</li><li>Everyone is welcome. Come as you are.</li><li>No experience necessary; just an open heart and willingness to connect.</li><li>Walks involve creative invitations in the woods that allow you to explore nature with all five of your senses. We will practice mindfulness exercises that will help you connect with nature on a new level.</li><li>Walks are slow-paced and cover less than 1 mile.</li><li>Cell phones should be off (ideally left in the car) and in a hard-to-reach pocket to minimize both physical and mental intrusions while on the walk.</li><li>Please dress for the weather, including a jacket, layers, umbrella, and proper shoes.</li><li>Walks will continue even in drizzling rain, as they can enhance our sensory experience.
