This series of five classes is a comprehensive program designed to prepare a couple physically and mentally for birth. This is an experience not to be missed and completely different from what can be viewed on TV or through the internet! Topics include pregnancy discomforts, preparing for physical changes, labor and delivery, and hospital policies and procedures. Couples will also learn about pain management techniques and anesthesia pain relief.

  • Wednesdays, May 1 through May 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, June 12 through July 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, July 24 through Aug. 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, Sept. 4 through Oct. 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, Oct. 16 through Nov. 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, Nov. 20 through Dec. 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (no class on Nov. 27)

In-person spaces are limited for those who signed up first and those delivering at LWRMC. If in-person spaces have filled up, you will be notified and placed on a waitlist. If a space opens up, you will be notified via email no later than two hours prior to the class. If you will be unable to attend the class, you must cancel within four hours of the class to allow room for other participants. You may cancel your class by calling 941-782-BABY or emailing Christine.Coney@lwrmc.com.

If you fail to cancel your class and do not show up, you will forfeit your spot in any remaining classes that you have been registered and move to the end of the waitlist. Each class participant (patient) that has registered is allowed to bring one additional participant with them to class (with the exception of Little Nippers) who must be over the age of 18 years, unless you have direct permission from the Prenatal Class Coordinator, Christine Coney.

All participants will be required to adhere to hospital guidelines regarding masking and social distancing.
