What are the Packaging Intructions?

For your safety and to make the collection of materials more efficient, we request that you take these precautions prior to bringing materials to the collection site:

  • If a product is still usable, try to give it to someone who can use it. It is not "waste" if it is something someone can use!
  • Please bring liquid paint sorted by type (latex, oil-based, lead-based, etc.)
  • Please keep chemicals in their containers. Place broken or leaking containers inside a second container or like materials (e.g., glass for corrosives, metal for flammables) and label properly.
  • If container has no label and its contents are known, please place a label on the container clearly stating the contents.
  • DO NOT transport chemicals in the passenger compartment of your vehicle. Put them in the trunk or bed of your truck.

Why is registration required?

1.) Registration creates a more pleasant experience where all participants arrive, drop off HHW, and leave in a timely manner. 2.) Registration alleviates potentially dangerous vehicle backups 3.) Registration prevents staff from turning residents away due to overcapacity.

Are there ID requirements to enter the event?

Proof of residency is required. Bring a driver's license or water bill.

What if I arrive before 9 AM?

To ensure the safety of staff, your waste will not be accepted until setup is complete. You will be required to wait in your vehicle until the event opens at 9 AM.

What if I arrive after 11 AM?

Please do your best to be on time. The collection event ends exactly at 11:00 AM, no exceptions. If your vehicle is not in line by 11:00 AM, your waste will not be accepted.
