Join us for a tremendous evening of web design and development for all skill levels. We'll be featuring talks about one of the most popular Content Management Systems and Web Development tools out there, WordPress.
Our own manager, Adam Bell, recently celebrated 20 years of web design and has been working with WordPress for over a decade. Most recently, he started designing a series of projects for the cultural cable network, Ovation TV. HIs first was a Pop Culture news site entitled CulturePop. The site, which was recently redesigned, used WordPress and an original theme to present articles, video, social media posts, social sharing and so much more.
Adam will showcase how he created the site and the various scripts and plugins he used to get the look and feel he and Ovation were looking for. And the plugins that caused headaches.
Alex Vasquez of DigiSavvy, has been working in technology technology for over twenty years. Tinkering with hardware and writing code are things he really enjoys doing and always has. Alex runs the WordPress Meetup in Pasadena. DigiSavvy has been around since 2010. They've served clients all over the US and beyond. Our dedication to our craft and creativity allows us to keep improving and providing value to our clients over and over again.
Alex will showcase some of the best plugins and extensions to use in WordPress. Between the free plugins available on the WordPrsss site, and the paid plugins available on places like CodeCanyon and similar sites, which ones are really essential for your site? Which ones will really grow your business? Alex will show you which ones are great and which ones you might want to avoid.
We'll have food courtesty of ourv newest sponsor, Recruiting Social and prizes from Photoshop Cafe and NextEnd SmartSlider 3. Make sure you join LAdobe for this special evening on Thursday, June 23rd!
