La Tertulia Tango Salon is an event series that showcases the local talent of Cleveland while offering a space to be creative with friends and community!

Join us at Kaiser Gallery for our third Wednesday edition featuring guest artist Bethany Joy on guitar and vocals. Soulful and emminently present, we love grooving to the vibrant original songs she brings; the room always feels like a big ol' hug when she sings!

As always, we welcome all introverts, extroverts, ambiverts, onlookers, lookey-loos, water-testers, those without rhythm, those who gotta groove, two-left-feeters, barroom sketchers, people-watchers, and curious georgies/georgettes. Thank you for helping us support local independent venues, artists, and a community of creatives in Cleveland!

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to dance? (eek)

Not at all! As we often say, tango is what we do at the parties, not the whole point of being there. Please feel free to dance whenever you feel it, even if that's never. Bring a book, an art project, or a friend to hang with and enjoy the whole atmosphere of this great venue.

Is there a dress code?

We think your clothes should make you feel comfortable in stillness as well as movement! Come in jeans and a t shirt or all dolled up, the priority is that YOU feel good.

Can I pay at the door?

Yep, we try to make this event as accessible as possible, so get in touch if you have any specific questions about how we use the cover fees to pay our guest artists and work toward more sustainable/circular economies for our arts communities!

Is there a class?

Actually, no, we teach class three days a week, so for these events we wanted to keep the vibe more party-oriented. Check us out on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday if you're looking to learn more about the dance and when you're at the tertulia just sit back and enjoy being in a creative third space
