Granite Ave.) In 2023, Kula Cloth officially adopted three tiny stretches of roadway on the Mountain Loop Highway. As we embarked upon a journey of highway parenting, we took great pride in the Mountain Loop’s beauty, and understood that it came with a heavy price. Kula is responsible for its upkeep and maintenance at least twice a year. Although less frequent then traditional diaper changes, roadside cleanups can be equally messy. <h2>At our first cleanup, we remove nearly 400 pounds of garbage in less than 3 hours. And there was still a ton of trash begging us to return.</h2> Please join us for an Earth Day-inspired cleanup event to help maintain the beauty of our beloved Mountain Loop Highway. Join us to make a positive impact on the environment and celebrate the spirit of Earth Day.Armed with determination, brightly colored hard hats, florescent orange vests, litter grabbers and a shared passion for environmental stewardship, we'll obliterate the garbage leading to some of our favorite trailheads (Gothic Basin, Goat Lake, Vesper Peak, Mt. Dickerman, Mt. Pilchuck, Heather Lake, Lake 22 and so many others).Join the Kula Academy on this trashy quest to maintain the beauty of the Mountain Loop. Grab your gloves, your sense of humor, and help us to make a difference, one vodka bottle at a time! <h3>What to Expect:</h3><ul><li>A tasteful collection of garbage curated from the Mountain Loop</li><li>Kula Cleanup Fashion Show: featuring brightly colored hard hats and florescent vests</li><li>A Gallery of Mountain Loop Collectibles - featuring your favorite finds</li><li>Garbage Photo opps - featuring your best poses with Mountain Loop treasures</li><li>Nominations for the Official Beer Can of the Mountain Loop - IYKYK</li><li>Synchronized Litter Grabbing</li><li>And lots of fun with Kula people</li></ul> <h3>Where to meet:</h3>We'll meet at 10am in front of the Granite Falls Police Station right next to the City of Granite Falls. From there, we will do a brief introduction, a safety talk, give out hardhats, safety vests, litter grabbers and carpool to the cleanup location near 135th St NE (Hidden Valley Road).The Mountain Loop Highway is home to many of the PNW's favorite trails including: Mount Pilchuck, Heather Lakes, Gothic Basin, Mt. Dickerman, Perry Creek and Forgotten Meadows, Lake 22, Vesper Peak, and many more. This is your chance to make the road to some of our favorite trails a whole lot prettier.* You must be 18 years or older to attend. No pets.

So, gather your friends, bring your best dance moves and let's show The Mountain Loop some love!

We’ve hiked sections of the PCT, summited volcanoes, paddled wild rivers, camped under starlit skies, painted, jumped into cold water for no good reason and danced — A LOT! Along the way, we’ve removed heaps of garbage from the Mountain Loop Highway, planted deciduous and evergreen trees, and taught people how to leave the world a better place. It's a corner of the universe where adventure, creativity and stewardship collide!Whether you’re here to master winter camping, learn “How Not to Die” doing the things you love, or simply because a pee cloth brought you our way, doesn’t matter. What matters is that you’re here! And we’re glad that our paths have crossed. We hope that you’ll join us on our adventures because you’re the missing ingredient in our trail mix.
