Hui Aloha Aina Momona is an Oahu based organization working to see kalo in the form of poi again return as the staple of Hawaii's people.

KUʻI 2020 is the 10th Anniversary for KUʻI at the Capitol, held on the opening day of the Hawaii Legislative Session.

For last 10 years KUʻI at the Capitol has worked to be inclusive, empowering and inspiring to Hawaiiʻs youth and greater community. Each year we have built upon Aloha ʻĀina and eating from the land as a political lifestyle for all of Hawaiiʻs people. This year we open the legislative session with two large imu to feed everyone. In order to do this we need your kokua. January 14th noon - 10pm will be imu prep, laulau wrapping and community concert and celebration of Aloha at Iolani Palace. Needed items include luau leaf for laulau, pork, sweet potato, beef, chicken, fish, onion, and lots and lots of ti leaf. January 15th 8am - 5pm KUʻI 2020 will open the Hawaii Legislative Session in collaboration with the Hawaii Rising Event. 2,000 plus pounds of kalo and 10,000 laulau anticipated to shared with the entire community.Bring your papa and pohaku - come use ours if you donʻt have one (please be patient, we really donʻt have enought equipment, but we do with what we have).Sign up to volunteer or make a donation.
