The Women’s komoot Torino Nice Rally
On 9th September, 50 women will set off to ride the komoot Women's Torino Nice Rally. 624 kilometers with 17,570 meters of altitude, over some of the most breathtaking high alpine passes and finally down to the beach on the Mediterranean Sea.
Why the Torino Nice Rally
We rode the route as the first Women's Bike Packing Rally in 2021 and knew we had to do it again! The last Tornino Nice Rally came together at the last minute and was a dream come true - 26 women started together in Turin, Italy to ride the 700 kilometer route and reach the finish party in Nice, France a week later. Many of us didn't know each other before the ride. A week of adventure - riding over mountain passes, taking shelter in a storm, camping under the stars, fixing mechanicals – made us lifelong friends.
James Olsen has dedicated huge amounts of time piecing together this incredible route for people to enjoy but also to support an important cause. Any donations he received from riders go to the Smart Shelter foundation who do vital work to build and develop resistant building methods for areas with high earthquake risk. We also aim to help to support this cause.
An open invitation to women
Meet us in Turin, Italy on September 9th, 2022 to start the route together. This is not a race. It’s a self-supported challenge with the goal of completing the loop and making it to the finishers’ party on September 16th. Come with a friend. Come on your own.
Sleep under the stars or under the shelter of refugios. Ride forest roads and doubletrack between medieval villages. Be part of the rolling community of women.
A shared adventure
Life is simple on the bike. The next challenge is the path ahead, finding camp before dark, making sure you have enough to eat. It’s always fun to be out there, but so much richer with others. You get to share the terrain, space and time– riding together, leapfrogging one another, sharing stories and meals, and helping each other along. We get to be the best versions of ourselves– courageous, capable and fun-loving.

Names will be drawn by ballot on June 3rd and announced within Lael's event collection on komoot and later confirmed via e-mail. A number of spaces are also reserved for riders from underrepresented groups.
