Learn the art of kokedama and build your own moss ball plant to take home. Guided, beginner-friendly, and creative.
Join us at Tansy Newark for a hands-on Kokedama Building Workshop, where you’ll learn the Japanese art of creating moss-wrapped plants and transform living greenery into a beautiful, sculptural piece.
Kokedama (meaning “moss ball”) is a traditional plant technique that replaces pots with a soil-and-moss sphere, resulting in a minimalist, organic design that can be displayed on a surface or suspended. In this guided workshop, our knowledgeable Tansy team will walk you through each step of the process, from forming the soil base to wrapping, tying, and caring for your kokedama at home.
This workshop is designed to be relaxing, creative, and accessible for all skill levels. No prior plant experience is needed, just come ready to get your hands a little dirty and enjoy the process.
What’s Included:
- A curated kokedama-friendly plant
- Soil, moss, twine, and all necessary materials
- Step-by-step instruction and hands-on guidance
- Care tips so your kokedama continues to thrive
