Knot Tying Workshop

Built in 1850 and expanded and refurbished throughout its time as a private residence, the Glen Foerd mansion is currently home to an array of historic domestic artifacts, American and European art, and contemporary art installations.Glen Foerd is a Philadelphia oasis situated at the confluence of the Delaware River and Poquessing Creek. The public is welcome to enjoy the grounds and spectacular river views.

Learn the art of knot tying at our hands-on workshop, where you'll master essential knots and even get crafty.

<p>Knots are a big part of the outdoors. Setting up a tent, securing your gear, and tying a bandage for first aid are just a few of the reasons everyone should have some knot knowledge in their toolbox. Glen Foerd staff will be teaching several interesting and useful knots. </p><p>We also encourage visitors to share any knots they use day to day or in their adventures. After some knot practice, there will be an opportunity to create a knot board. Choose a few knots that best represent you. Add them to your board along with your own personal decorative touch. Rope, boards, and arts &amp; crafts supplies will be provided.</p>
