On April 22, Southern Virginia will host the 5th Annual Knight Run, a five kilometer evening race through downtown Buena Vista. The race begins at 6 p.m. at Chandler Field. <A HREF="http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/fullscreen/649885704/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">View the route of the race.</A> Racers can begin retrieving their race packets at the Stoddard Center at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the race.
You can also participate in our Virtual Race. The Virtual Race allows you to run or walk your race in whatever location you would like, whenever you want! You can participate with your friends and family or on your own. We will send a shirt to all virtual race participants after registration and you will report your time when you complete your race. 
We invite children ages 8 and under to participate in the kids' run at 5:30 p.m. on Chandler Field!
The Knight Run is one of Southern Virginia’s most exciting annual traditions. It brings the university together with members of the surrounding community. Come show your enthusiasm and school spirit! If you don’t plan on running, still be sure to register and participate as a volunteer.
Immediately after the race, students from Southern Virginia’s Multicultural Club will present an authentic Polynesian luau with a variety of shows and booths. Additionally, an all-you-can-eat dinner will be available for an extra fee. Come prepared to relax and have a good time. You may want to bring blankets or chairs for additional seating.
