"Kits Beach Coffee has a Book Club "
No pressure, no assigned books, no requirements, or expectations to read a specific book or chapter then think of something witty to say. Just fellow book lovers, each engrossed in their own literary adventure.
It’s simple, all readers are welcome (flip the pages type of books, audiobooks, books on ipads, schoolbooks, textbooks, library books, any kind of books). If you want to change up your book, visit our Equitable Literacy Library at the café and read one of ours.
It’s BYOBook.
How It Works:
We gather once a month, share what we are reading (always optional) and then we all settle in for an hour of silent reading.
After an hour or so of sustained, silent reading, there will be an opportunity to create conversation, socialize and hang out – or not! It’s up to you.
6:30-7:00pm - arrive, order drinks, share what you’re reading, or just start reading
7:00-8:00pm – the reading hour
8:00-8:30pm – socializing (optional), or just keep reading
You can show up late, leave early or stay late.
There will be sections of the cafe for those who want to read longer in silence and a section for those who want to socialize more.
Literary Libations:
Your ticket includes your choice of beverage. Kits Beach Coffee has curated a special drink menu. Happy Hour prices.
Each month we feature different drinks named after literary luminaries, along with book recommendations. We have Botanical Drinks as well for those who wish to level up their holistic health.
This book club is a collaboration between two businesses who love reading and community: Kits Beach Coffee and Kirsten Campbell.
