Frequently asked questions

Do we need to bring our ticket to the event?

Your ticket will be available through the Eventbrite App. Please make sure to download the app or print your ticket prior to the event. Please have it readily available at check-in, along with a photo ID. You will only be able to pick up your own badge. Each attendee must pick up their own.

Can we purchase tickets at the event?

All tickets will be sold online in advance only. Tickets will go fast, so you will want to make sure you get yours in time. IF, by chance we have any tickets left, they will be available the day of the event.

Will we receive tote bags?

VIP ticket holders will receive a tote bag sponsored by Jiffy Kate with SWAG in it. GA will receive a Zipper Pouch that is sponsored by Avery Flynn.

Will authors have pre-orders and books that we can purchase on the day of the event?

Yes, if an author chooses to do pre-orders, that information will be posted on our Facebook page and www.kissandtelltx.com. Links will be kept together so that they can be easily found.

Can we bring our own books to have authors sign?

Absolutely, we do ask that if you bring your own books that you, please have each book marked with the correct spelling of your name on a Post-it in the front of the book, if you are having it personalized. This helps the authors with the spelling of your name.

How many books will the authors sign and will they sign items other than books?

Each author chooses the number of books and items they will sign. Most authors will sign other items, if it is appropriate! Our Line Monitors will have that information and you will be able to find it on our website as well.

Will there be a map of where authors are seated?

Yes, once the layout has been finalized we will share it on Facebook and place it on the website for reference. Each Line Monitor & Volunteer will have a copy of the Signing Room Layout to help guide you to the Authors table you are looking for.

Is the event cashless?

Most authors will accept cards and cash, however as a rule of thumb, if you plan to pay with cash, please try to have smaller bills so they are not trying to make change and running out of funds.

Will wi-fi be available on-site?

Wi-fi is available for hotel guests only.

How much is parking?

Parking is on site and is included free with our event.

Are outside food and drinks allowed?

You may bring in a drink & small snack, but no meals or large quantities of food are allowed. We will have water stations at the venue. No ALCOHOL ALLOWED!!! The hotel does have an amazing restaurant that is very reasonable and many restaurants around the venue.

Where do we go when we arrive at the venue?

We will mark this information on the map. We will have a designated entrance, for those not staying on site, that will be decorated, to make it easier to find.

Will there be a photographer on site and will those photos be available for download?

There will be someone walking around taking pictures during the event. The photos will be shared on our website at the end of the event. We will also have photo opportunities for you and your friends! We encourage you to share your photos and videos on social media and to email them to us.

What can we use to carry our books in?

You may bring a cart that is no bigger than 18x18 or a carry on suitcase, you can find a photo on the website for reference. For safety reasons no wagons or strollers will be allowed in the signing room.

What is the Ticket Refund Policy?

Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable. All transfer of tickets must come through us. THOSE THAT DO NOT COME THROUGH US WILL NOT BE HONORED AT THE DOOR. DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS FROM ANYONE NOT VERIFIED THROUGH US FIRST!
