Join us for a hands-on Modern Kintsugi Pottery Workshop at 91 Hampshire St, Cambridge, Massachusetts! In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to transform broken pottery into beautiful, unique art using safe, modern materials—no lacquer or epoxy required.

You’re welcome to bring a broken piece of pottery from home. Please note that we’ll focus on completing one piece per person in class.

About Modern Kintsugi:
Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese art form that repairs broken pottery with gold, celebrating imperfections as part of a piece’s story. Traditional Kintsugi can take days to complete, but in this workshop, we focus on a modern approach that allows you to finish your piece in just 1.5 hours. You’ll learn techniques, design ideas, and how to create your own one-of-a-kind Kintsugi artwork.

About the Workshop:
This class is taught by Carol, who has been practicing Kintsugi since 2015. It’s a favorite among customers for its creativity, mindfulness, and unique hands-on experience. Whether you’re a pottery enthusiast or simply curious, this class is perfect for exploring Kintsugi philosophy in a fun and approachable way.

Details:

  • Duration: 1.5 hours
  • All pottery and materials provided
  • Take home your finished Kintsugi creation

Bring your curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to embrace the beauty of imperfection. Transform brokenness into art and discover the joy of making something truly unique!
