About this event

Welcome to the Kids Movie Magic Film Camp! Join us at Dove Light Studios for a week filled with lights, camera, action! 🎥🌟 Recommended for ages 6-14
At our camp, kids will learn how God uses our talents to tell stories that point to Him - from scriptwriting to editing, they'll get hands-on experience in creating their own movie. 🎬📝
Our team of experienced instructors will guide campers through every step of the process, ensuring they have a blast while learning new skills. 🤩🎞️
They will star in a short film containing movie magic (i.e. visual effects) like dissapearing, flying, or transforming in the blink of an eye!❇️
The movie will have a RED CARPET PREMIERE on Tuesday, July 30th at 6:30PM 🕶️👨👩👧👦
So if your child is a budding filmmaker or just loves being in front of the camera, this camp is the perfect place for them to shine! Sign up now and let the movie magic begin! ✨🎥

Frequently asked questions
We love it when all kids in a family can participate. The suggested ages are 6-14. If a child is a mature 5 (can follow instruction), or 15 or 1`6 with a willingness to be an example for the younger kids, we welcome them too.
The short film is an allegory called The Promises. Similar to Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and Wizard of Oz, the children will find themselves transported to another realm. In this realm their mission is to collect 7 promises, avoiding capture by the Deceptorian, who use fear to misguide them.
The first 3 days will take place at Dove Light Studios. Days 4 and 5 will be filmed at Greer City Park playground. We will ask at least 2 parents to volunteer to keep watch over all the children as we film.
Please plan to pack a lunch and water for your children. Depending on the needs of attendees, nut products may or may not be allowed to ensure everyone is safe. We will not be able to provide food. For filming days, we will offer pizza for parents who'd like to pay $4 per slice for their kids.
Each family will be invited (no cost) to a red carpet entrance with pictures, and to view the film on July 30th from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. We will enjoy popcorn and soda while we watch the film, followed by a short Q&A where the parents will have a chance to ask the kids questions. Space is limited.
Yes! You'll receive a digital file (a link) of the film which you can share with your friends and extended family. You'll receive the link after the premiere on July 30th.
Lunch, snack, water, and a smile! On days 3 & 4, please have them wear their first costume (every day clothes with no visible logos, no stripes, no busy patterns, must be modest) and bring their second costume (jeans, plain white t-shirt).
Please have your children wear an outfit appropriate for playing at the park with no visible logos, no stripes, no busy patterns (solid colors are best), and according to the weather. Please have your child bring blue jeans, can be a jean skort, jean shorts, or jean skirt, with a plain white t-shirt
Yes! Every child will act in front of the camera and the script will be tailored to their age and gender. If there is an older child who would not like to act but would like to CREW the movie, please email us to discuss this. We are open to this as an option.
