Which kicks will we be covering?

We'll be focused on the chambers for round (roundhouse), side, and hook kicks.

Question 2

How will we be using the chair and rope/band/belt?

Accepted Answer

You'll be holding onto a chair for balance. If you don't have a chair, supporting yourself against a wall can also work. The rope/band/belt will be used to position and support your kicking leg.

Question 3

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Loose, comfortable workout attire. You're free to wear a formal Taekwondo or other martial arts uniform but sweats or shorts and a t-shirt are just fine.

Question 4

Should I have my video on for this session?

Accepted Answer

We strongly encourage everyone to have their video on. It helps the instructor understand how everyone is doing and pace the session appropriately. Nobody is going to judge you, we're all here to learn.

Question 5

How advanced is this class? If I'm not a black belt can I still participate?

Accepted Answer

Developing a solid kicking chamber is a foundational skill. You'll get something out of this session regardless of where you are in your martial arts journey.
