Kern River Valley End of Year Luau Party-Heartland Charter School

Aloha! Throw on your Hawaiian shirt and join us to celebrate the end of a wonderful school year with a Luau Party in Kernville. We will play beach-themed games, paint beautiful Hawaiian sunset scenes, and enjoy some Heartland student performances. Does your student have a talent to share? Email me to have them included as part of the show! Hawaiian or beach-themed acts are encouraged but not required. We'd love to hear music, watch dancing, admire student art projects, hear poems, watch demonstrations of martial arts skills... the possibilities are endless. All performances should be 5 minutes or less, so we have time for all of our activities. Participating in the student performance time is NOT required. You are welcome to attend and enjoy the show as an audience member. Feel free to bring a lunch to eat in Riverside Park after the party. It's a beautiful place to run, play, and relax.

*If your student would like to share a talent in the student performance time, please email me with the type of talent, any items needed, and how long it will be (5 minutes maximum). Please make sure all performances are kid-friendly. Songs should not have inappropriate words or mature content.

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please let the field trip host know once you complete your registration.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE!

Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Each person who attends an event must be registered through Eventbrite. This applies to babies, toddlers, siblings, and adults. PLEASE RESERVE A TICKET FOR EVERYONE IN YOUR PARTY.

Check-in Procedures: The party will take place in the Fellowship Hall to the left of the church sanctuary. Look for the decorations on the door. There will be a check-in table after you enter with a sign-in sheet. I will be wearing a green Heartland T-shirt.

Is there on-site parking available? Parking is free in the church parking lot or on the street.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes, you may bring your own food/drink.

Please do not bring food that contains peanuts to any Heartland event.
