Kentucky Derby Watch Party at The Plaza at Avalon

Celebrate The Run for The Roses in style at Avalon's award-winning Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 4th from 5PM to 8PM. The Plaza at Avalon will be transformed into a glamorous party featuring a jumbo viewing screen to watch the race, place your bets, and enjoy live music. Dust off those fancy hats and bowties, grab a Mint Julep, and enjoy the fun.

Schedule of Events:

5:00 PM: It’s off to the races as The Plaza opens to kick off the party with various event bars with beer, wine ,and specialty cocktails. Get ready to groove as Nathan Angelo hosts the smoothest dance party around. Check out all the pre-race fun including a photo booth, specialty activations, and more.

5:00 PM - 6:30PM: Purchase raffle tickets and pick the horse you think will win first, place, or show. Place your “bets” on your favorite horses by placing your tickets in their raffle basket. Three (3) lucky winners will be selected from the winning horses’ baskets. Prizes will be given to the horse that places all three positions. Prize packages include various items and gift cards from participating Avalon retailers and restaurants. All raffle proceeds will benefit Bearfoot Ranch. Raffle tickets are Venmo purchases only.

6:50 PM: Tune into the jumbo screen to watch the most anticipated 2 minutes in sports as you cheer on your favorite horse. After the race, winners from the raffle will be notified.

7:15 PM - 8:00 PM: The horses go back in the stables, but you stay for more fun. Stick around as Nathan Angelo closes out the evening while you enjoy another specialty cocktail.
