About this event

We are excited to bring back our annual Kennywood Event Day!

Families can ride the Anderson Coach bus we have rented ($5/person) or drive separately and meet us there. The bus has Wi-Fi access and a restroom. Space is limited.

Group discounted ticket cost is: $31.99/person (discounted from last year). On Ticket page please click on Tickets needed and also on Bus Ticket if riding with us.

***Fill out the Registration Form completely, we need to have everyone's cell numbers.

Please RSVP for the number of Kennywood tickets you would like to purchase through Eventbrite and our Director, Robin will then email you our Kennywood link with the discount code to purchase. Please register and pay as soon as you can as Kennywood Park does have a maximum number of daily attendees.

If you would like to ride the bus with us, please pay $5/person through this Eventbrite event.

Please register everyone in your family that will be attending together in one transaction, especially if purchasing bus tickets to guarantee bus seating availability. There will be no refunds given.

Anderson Bus:

The Anderson Coach bus will be leaving at exactly 9:30am from the parking lot near the Boardman Red Lobster (Marc's Plaza) (bus will arrive at 9:15am for families to begin getting seated). We will be arriving at Kennywood at approx. 11am and will be leaving the park at 5:30pm to arrive home approx. 7pm (families are expected to be at Kennywood's Main Entrance by the carousel horse at exactly 5:15pm, you are responsible to keep track of your time as we are on schedule with Anderson to return back promptly).

Support Staff:

We will also be hiring a few trained autism support staff to assist at the event, including teachers. Please bring additional family members or friends to assist your loved one(s) as well.

ADA Ride Accessibility Pass:

We also worked with Kennywood to allow all of our individuals to be a part of the ADA Ride Accessibility Pass program. After you complete this Eventbrite form to RSVP we will email you a questionnaire. Please fill this out for each individual that will need a Ride Accessibility Pass. This pass is for any individual in your group that is unable to wait in the regular ride line. This pass will include that person, plus three additional guests. These need to be filled out and brought with you on event day or you can go to the information area at the park to fill out on event day.

Pavilion:

We will have our own covered pavilion at Kennywood (Pavilion #7) to keep our coolers for lunch/drinks, extra personal items, etc. Please keep valuables with you as the Autism Society is not responsible. Please bring backpacks or items you can carry from the drop-off gate to the pavilion. We will not have a special drop-off for bags. This pavilion is for all of our families, those taking the bus and those choosing to drive on their own. It is a great place for sensory breaks and a quiet place to eat with friends.

P avilion 7 is the first pavilion on the right located behind the Old Mill. Once through the tunnel tun right in between Sky Rocket and Old Mill.

Food:

Kennywood is cashless. Please bring a credit card for food and any other purchases at the park.

If you or your child has food allergies/sensitivities or prefers their own food you can pack lunch boxes or a small cooler only (12 x12x12 permitted). No catered food or large bags or boxes of outside food. No commercial food items are allowed. No bulk items including crockpots, sandwich platters or cases of bottled water. All items need to be carried from the parking lot to the pavilion so pack light.

Thank you to the Hussman Foundation for their grant which will offset costs for this event including support staff and part of the Anderson Coach bus.

By registering for this event, you are giving permission for the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley to take photos and/or video at the event of you and your family for publicity and social media purposes. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the event, please email robin@autismmv.org or call 330-333-9609.
