Join Us April 19th for KD Kaddyshack
KD Kaddyshack 2026, hosted by the Theta Nu Chapter of Kappa Delta at Purdue University, is an annual philanthropy golf tournament bringing together Purdue sororities and fraternities for a day of competition, prizes, and giving back in support of Prevent Child Abuse America and a local Lafayette-area child advocacy organization.
Event Overview
- Format: 4-person team scramble
- Structure: Two simultaneous 9-hole scrambles + final playoff
- Scoring: Bogey (1 over par) max per hole
- Start Time: 2:30 PM shotgun start
- Location: Battle Ground Golf Club, West Lafayette, Indiana
- Cost: $45 per player
Battle Ground Golf Club offers a full clubhouse, driving range access, and space for tournament operations and participant gathering.
Tournament Format
Teams will compete in one of two 9-hole scramble rounds:
- Group A: Front 9
- Group B: Back 9
All teams begin simultaneously via shotgun start. The scramble format will be used, with a maximum score of bogey per hole to maintain pace of play.
The top team from each 9-hole round advances to a 1-hole final playoff, where the overall KD Kaddyshack Champion is determined.
Prizes
Each 9-hole scramble (Front & Back):
- 1st place - Large cooler with prizes
- 2nd place - Smaller cooler with prizes
Overall Champion:
- Winners of each 9-hole round compete in the final playoff
- Overall winner receives $100 donation toward their philanthropy
On-Course Games & Competitions
- Back of the Pack: Teams may pay a set fee to move their position in the standings as a strategic fundraising element
- Putting Competition: Held at the clubhouse; prize awarded
- Entry starting at $5
- Bundle options available
Registration Information
- Team registration only (4 players per team)
- Open to Purdue sororities, fraternities, and cooperatives
- One Team Captain registers and submits full payment
- No individual registration
- Cost: $45 per player

Players will rank their golf ability level during registration. This will be used to:
- Create balanced groupings across both 9-hole scrambles
- Ensure efficient pace of play throughout the tournament
Registration Deadline: 4/15/26 @11am
Spectator Access
- Spectator tickets are available for purchase ($5 per person)
- Spectator access includes entry to the event and clubhouse viewing areas
- Spectators are not permitted to participate in gameplay and must not interfere with pace of play
- Driving range access is not included, but may be purchased separately through the course
Add-On Purchases (Check-In Only)
- Mulligans: $10 each (max 2 per player)
- Yard Sticks: $20 each (max 2 per player)
All add-ons must be purchased at the start of the event.
Participant Experience
Each participant will receive:
- KD Kaddyshack t-shirt
- Provided meal during the event
- Access to sponsor giveaways and event activities
Each team will receive:
- Two golf carts per team
Schedule of Events
- 1:00-2:00 PM: Check-in, food, and arrival
- 2:30 PM: Shotgun start
- ~6:00 PM: Score collection and finalists determined
- Post-round: Final playoff and awards
Course Logistics
- Driving range available prior to play (balls available for purchase)
- Clubhouse serves as central hub for: Check-in, Food service, Putting competition
- Volunteers stationed throughout the course to assist with flow and operations
Clubs & Equipment
- Players are encouraged to bring their own clubs
- Limited rental sets may be available through the course
- Only two women’s club sets are available
- Participants using rental clubs may be required to sign a waiver
Dress Code
- Collared or sleeved shirts required
- Appropriate-length shorts, skirts, or golf pants
- Golf shoes or athletic sneakers
Not permitted:
- Boots
- Heels
- Metal spikes
- Altered or cut shirts
Transportation
Transportation to and from Battle Ground Golf Club is not provided. Participants are responsible for coordinating their own transportation.
Course Policies
- No outside food or beverages permitted on the course
- Event staff and course personnel will manage operations and pace of play
