About this event

KCRW is partnering with the Fowler Museum for a day of festivities celebrating the best food of all time: pie! At the heart of the festival is a massive pie contest: hundreds of bakers compete to impress the judges—LA's finest chefs and food writers. The event also features baking demos, a marketplace with pie slices and lunch options, a beer garden, kids activities, exhibitions at the Fowler Museum, and music sets from KCRW DJs Dan Wilcox and SiLVA. Evan Kleiman, the unofficial Pie Queen of Southern California, will preside over the festivities. This event is free and open to the public. Spend the day with us and grab a slice while you’re at it! Also featured is the work of international contemporary artists presented within the complex frameworks of politics, culture and social action. The Fowler provides exciting, informative and thought-provoking exhibitions and events for the UCLA community and the people of greater Los Angeles and beyond.
