As part of the National Park Service’s National Heritage Areas program, Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area conserves, interprets, promotes and develops access to the historic, cultural, natural and recreational resources of the six northwest Alabaman counties comprising its designated area. Through programs fostering public-private partnerships, MSNHA stimulates community revitalization, improves quality of life, promotes tourism, catalyzes economic development and cultivates the stewardship of our landscape.

<p>Both children 9 years &amp; older and adults are welcome to attend. The children's class will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 10 a.m. The adult class will begin at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m. Both classes are taking place at the McFarland Boat Ramp. Remember to bring water, a snack, &amp; sunscreen! Co-hosted by Alabama Highway Patrol Marine Police, Shoals RiverTown, UNA Department of Kinesiology &amp; Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area.</p>
